29 Days and Lots to Come!

Can you believe there are only 29 days of school left?! There is and will continue to be a LOT going on! Hang on for the ride!

Happy Mother's Day

Testing-

First, we are continuing testing. The first week went well with most students

working hard to really think about what the questions were asking and figure out how to solve the problems. They had to sit for two hours each of the two days (one day was a classroom activity), so it was a very long time.

The next testing days will be on May 19-21! Children should be encouraged to not worry a lot about the tests because they have learned a lot this year. They should just take their time, read everything and think about the new strategies and skills they have. We know they can do a great job!

Recorder Concert-

Second, the recorder conert is coming! It is Thursday at 10:00! Students will have several rehearsals next week, so they will need their recorders every day! They should not need their music any longer. That can stay home for practice.

We hope to see everyone at the concert!

Monster Exchange-

Students finished their writing and drawing for the Monster Exchange project. Now we will be taking a look at the two drawings to see how closely their partners drew the monsters using only the written description. I had a sneak peek and many are very close. I am really excited to show the students. I will share the link after students have seen the two drawings in class.
